Here you can find a collection of different tools and services I use and recommend. Most of it is centered around getting an online business up and running. The list will be updated over time, so make sure that you return and check it out every now and then
Please notice that some of the links below are affiliate links meaning that I will earn a commision if you choose to purchase that service or product. This does however in no way have an influence on the list. I have only listed stuff here that I use myself and can wholeheartedly recommend! If you feel that my blog has helped you in anyway I would really appriciate you making a purchase through any of the links.
Website Hosting
This is probably one of the most important things to buy when you are doing online business, and one thing that is often overlooked in importance when you first set out on your online journey.
Dreamhost
For my online business I currently have two accounts. I run all my international sites on a single account on Dreamhost. While there are many contenders, I have always been really happy with their service and support. You can host as many domains you like with a single hosting account and it’s still really cheap.
Gigahost
The other hosting account I have is with the Danish hosting company called Gigahost . While not as streamlined as Dreamhost, they provide an excellent service compared to the price. I have a couple of Danish sites, and having them located in Denmark is a bit better for page loading times and search engine optimization.
GratisDNS (FreeDNS)
A free Danish DNS service. I use this for all my domains. If you do not know what a DNS service is, just ignore this, you probably don’t need it anyway
Blogging and themes
WordPress
I use WordPress for ALL my sites (except one) because it is 1) dead easy to install (Dreamhost has a “one click install”), 2) it is super easy to use, 3) there are thousands of plugins that ensures that the functionality you want is typically already done for you, 4) Google loves WordPress sites and 4) because so many people know WordPress it is really easy to outsource design and development on the platform.
ThemeForest
There are several places where you can get designs for your site but I really like ThemeForest because the standard is quite high. I do not have to sit and watch through hundreds of designs/themes to find one I like. If you stick to the WordPress category the designs can be installed in your WordPress site in less than five minutes.
OptimizePress
This is a fantastic theme for WordPress that turns your site into a super selling machine. It can do squeeze- and sales pages. And even has templates for doing a membership site. It is really awesome and the license enables you to use this beauty on all the sites you own!
Wishlist Member
I am currently working on a paid membership site, and I have chosen Wishlist Member as the plugin to control all the membership stuff. Up until now I have really liked working with it as it integrates extremely well with WordPress.

Getting back to this soon…
Autoresponders
For building your list you need an autoresponder. All the cool guys keep telling me that the money is in the list, so I’ve started building a list
AWeber
This is pretty much the old player that a lot of people are using. I started using this, but am currently in the process of migrating all my lists over to Mailchimp.
Mailchimp
I really like Mailchimp because you can start building you list for free. You get up to 2000 subscribers for free which is really a great bargin for you. They also have a bit more “slim look” to the whole operation. While this might not be a selling point, there is no reason why you cannot smile a few times when you are working in their interface.
Outsourcing
I do a lot of outsourcing and the sites I use haven’t really changed that much.
Elance
The site I started on and keep going back to. There isn’t much to say other than they have critical mass meaning that there are always a lot of people bidding on your projects.
oDesk
I’ve started using this for a couple of projects. Basically you can create projects that are priced below $50 (Elance’s minimum is $50) and I also feel that there are more people doing “writing services” there than on Elance, but I have nothing to back this up.
Fiverr
A frigging great site. All jobs cost $5. I’ve spend a lot of $$ on that site because it simply is so cheap. If you haven’t outsourced before, this could be your first stop as it is cheap and dead simple. Oh yeah… there is also a number of totally crazy jobs that you might want to try out
VMG BPO
My first VA came from this company. I still use them now and then. They are professional, hard working and only cost $6 per hour.
